Client: OceanTrak Marine Logistics
Location: Offshore, Gulf of Mexico
Duration: 3 days (January 2025)
Scope of Work:
Replace a damaged 5-blade bronze propeller on a 120m chemical tanker. The damage occurred due to underwater debris entanglement. Due to the remote location, the operation had to be conducted on-site underwater.
Execution:
Divers removed existing propeller using hydraulic extraction tools.
Transported and secured replacement propeller using submersible lift bag system.
Installed new propeller and used underwater dial indicators to ensure balance.
Verified RPM stabilization via remote sensor testing.
Outcome:
Successfully completed the task in under 72 hours with no need for vessel towage. Reduced the risk of hull vibration damage and ensured long-term efficiency.
